The 2022 National Faith & Blue Weekend Has Concluded!
The 2022 National Faith & Blue Weekend, held from October 7th-101th, was a tremendous success with 3,000 events in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. These events were held from the tip of Aleutian Islands of Alaska to the end of the Florida Keys and everywhere in between. Our thanks to all participants, organizers, partners, and sponsors. Together we are changing the narrative from one of division to one of unity.
As 2022 Concludes
Reverend Markel Hutchins, CEO of MovementForward, Inc., (MFI) shares his thoughts in his annual letter on the social good that MFI set out to accomplish in 2022.
MovementForward, Inc. is a modern, inclusive social change organization that works to protect, promote, and advance the civil and human rights of all people through empowerment opportunities and programs, projects, activism, and targeted-issue campaigns to advocate for one standard of justice regardless of race, class, gender, religion, orientation, or immigration status.
National Faith & Blue Weekend is a powerful initiative that builds bridges to more engaged communities. At the heart of this initiative is the reinforcement of connections between law enforcement professionals and the communities they serve.
One Congregation One Precinct (OneCOP) initiative is MovementForward, Inc.’s signature program that facilitates positive, ongoing partnerships between local law enforcement agencies and diverse congregations of every faith tradition.
If we all come together, it will bring communities together and give us a better understanding of what is going on and where we all should be focusing or paying attention to different things going on in our community.
Rev. Rodney Bowden - Rooted in Christ Community Church in Akron, OH
This initiative is based on the foundation that strong communities are built on mutual respect and understanding. Our faith-based partners are pillars in our communities and when we all work together there are long lasting, positive effects.
