Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Announces Partnership for Police Reform
Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett announced a new partnership with NYU School of Law Criminal Justice Lab to create a new path forward for a community-based, data-driven conversation public safety and policing. This reform comes after a national outcry for police reform after the high profile police-involved controversies involving George Floyd and Dreasjon Reed in Indianapolis.
The partnership intends to bring together subject matter experts with local stakeholders to create opportunities for public input and work to build consensus for action.
As a partner agency in the Indianapolis OneCOP Initiative, MovementForward, Inc. looks forward to working with Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) in their efforts to redefine policing and public safety in Indianapolis.
